Intramurals
The Intramural committee and I are in charge of stirring up
interest in intramurals among the fraternity, signing these players up
to play intramurals, and most importantly making sure everyone who wants
to play gets a shot and has the best possible time playing sports. My
committee and I divide up the teams and send out reminders to everyone
about upcoming games and tournaments so that everyone is informed about
every opportunity to play intramurals.
On the immediate radar…
On February 6th, two fiji teams competed in the WKU intramural badminton
tournament. The snowy white gammas aka Bo Armstrong and Micheal Hayden
won two games and made it into the top 8 before being defeated. Fiji
purple aka Malcolm Lunceford and Josh Wiseman went 4-1 and placed 3rd
in the tournament.
On the even more immediate radar…
Basketball
Fiji intramural basketball got off to an inauspicious start on Feb 16th
when Fiji purple lost. The next night Fiji continued on its downward
basketball trend on Wed. Feb 17th when both Fiji White and Fiji Silver
got beat. Everyone played hard and mostly everyone had a good time
so that’s all that matters.
Dodgeball and Soccer
Dodgeball and Soccer tournaments are about to get started. The dodgeball
tournament is February 26th and 27th while the soccer league starts
March 1st.
