Introducing the White Star Scholarship
Gamma Delta is committed to promoting leadership and scholarship among its members. In light of this, Phi Gamma Delta is offering the White Star Scholarship to support the higher education of quality men and aid in the development of strong leaders within the Western Kentucky University community. Please, take note of the following details of these scholarships:
¨ Applicants are not obligated in any way to join the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta or any other fraternal organization at WKU, nor are winners selected based on their interest in Phi Gamma Delta. This opportunity is intended to assist qualified candidates in realizing their potential as university scholars.
¨ Applicants must be a student at Western Kentucky University, enrolled in at least 12 credit hours in the fall semester. Scholarships will be awarded by October 23, 2014.
¨ A board consisting of area Fiji graduate brothers will select the winners.
¨ Scholarship(s) will be awarded totaling $1,000.
¨ Selection is based on demonstrated academic performance, leadership, community involvement, and response to application questions. Applicants may be interviewed locally or on-campus during the fall semester.
¨ The application must be complete in order to be considered. In addition to the application information sheet provided, up to three additional pages may be submitted for consideration (e.g. essay, activities list, letter of recommendation, etc.).
