Fiji’s Parents Day!

The Chi Eta Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at WKU hosted its annual Parents Day on September 17th, 2011. The event was a great success with around 150 people in attendance. The families enjoyed BBQ as the guest speakers Brian Douglas and Bo Byers, current serving as Archon Counselor and Section Chief respectively, spoke about the national awards the Chi Eta Chapter had won. The most prestigious of these awards was The Cheney Cup, which is given to the best Phi Gamma Delta Chapter. The award is based on the greatest all-around efficiency in scholarship, fraternity relations, and general collegiate activities.

After lunch the families dismissed to go tailgate on The South Lawn before the WKU vs. Indiana State football game. The tailgate was a big hit. The brothers socialized with each others families while enjoying hamburgers and hotdogs from the grill. There was corn hole and plenty of food for everyone. It was a great day of brotherhood and good times. Everyone was disapointed by the game featured the Tops losing to the Sycamores 44-16
